Out of the Wings is a not-for-profit theatre company with the aim to bridge the gap between youth and adult amatuer theatre.
The original concept and founding by Director Em Hansford was in 2020, with Associate Director Jess Ridler joining to create a tour de force between the two for the official launch in November 2020.
With the call for a space for youth performers who are not quite children, not quite adults, Out of the Wings Theatre was born. It soon grew to become an inclusive space to champion both IBPOC, LGBTQIA+ and disabled performers.
